Harvard Cancer Consortium, a comprehensive cancer center that brings together the cancer research efforts of seven member institutions (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Massachusetts General Hospital), is committed to building the most well-trained cancer research workforce in the world.
The Summer-Only Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) program is a highly competitive 7 - 11 WEEK summer program for high school and undergraduate students residing in or attending school in Massachusetts who are interested in a career in science and research. Students conduct hands-on, mentored basic, nursing, clinical, bioinformatic, computational, and/or population science research at HCC.

NOTE: The deadline to submit applications is January 13th, 2027
THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL APPLICANTS. You will be notified when your completed application has been received. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Application Form
- An unofficial copy of transcript or report card from most current school and year
- Current résumé
- Letter(s) of Recommendation: A total of two letters of recommendation are required. At least one recommendation letter must be from your science or mathematics teacher/professor. Letters of recommendation must be received by the deadline for an application to be considered complete. Applications without both letters of recommendation will not be considered.
- Parent/Guardian Consent form (if under the age of 18)

After you have submitted your application with all of the necessary information it will be sent to the CURE (Summer Only) program. You will be able to print your submitted application. You may also sign back in at any time to view it; however, SUBMITTED APPLICATIONS CANNOT BE EDITED FURTHER.
